This policy explains what information uendit collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. uendit is an early-stage product - this policy will be updated as the product develops, and a version reviewed by counsel will accompany general availability.
Information we collect
- Account information - name, email, and role (individual, lawyer, or firm member).
- Case information - parties, jurisdiction, counsel, dockets, sentiment, and any documents or details you add to a case.
- Communications - messages you send to the AI strategist and other in-product features.
- Usage and device data - pages visited, actions taken, browser and device information, collected automatically.
- Connected services - if you choose to connect Dropbox or Google Drive, the files and metadata you authorize us to access.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and improve the product, generate AI-assisted strategy and guidance tuned to your case and jurisdiction, communicate with you about your account, and meet legal and security obligations. Case details you submit may be processed by AI models to produce responses; those responses are not reviewed by a human attorney before being shown to you.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers who help us operate the product (such as hosting and AI infrastructure providers), when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Each case's information is only accessible to the individuals, lawyers, or firm members you've given access to.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and case data at any time.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we'll honor applicable requests consistent with those laws.
Children's privacy
uendit is not directed to individuals under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
